We are delighted to invite Real Estate Balance members to this upcoming Real Estate Balance and New Street Consulting Group event at Grosvenor in central London.

Our speakers represent the consultancy and client sides of the industry and will be discussing a range of issues relating to D&I in the workplace and offering solutions for developing inclusive cultures.

These will include:

  • The proven benefits of a diverse workforce and why hiring managers should consider the merits of flexibility, investing in potential and a candidate’s transferable skills.
  • The value of robustly assessing a potential recruit’s inclusive behaviours to accelerate inclusive cultures.

The conversation will be chaired by Tim Burke, EG’s Deputy Editor, with the panel comprised of Guy Garnett, Principal Consultant, New Street Consulting Group, Jody Goldsworthy, Partner, New Street Consulting Group, Jo Banfield, Human Resources Director, Grosvenor, and Sarah Draper, Partner - Head of People and Culture, Rider Levett Bucknall.

Tim Burke

Tim Burke, Deputy Editor, EG

Burke joined EG as deputy editor in July 2019, before which he was property editor at Financial News, a Dow Jones publication. Earlier in his career he wrote for and edited magazines covering capital markets and businesses across developed and emerging economies, including titles at The Economist Group and Thomson Reuters.

Guy Garnett

Guy Garnett, Principal Consultant, New Street Consulting Group

Guy has over twenty years’ experience within executive search with a focus on Real Estate and the built environment. After graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in Human Resource Management, Guy joined a boutique search firm within their research function working with clients to help source, attract and recruit senior candidates across a broad range of industries. In 2010 Guy was asked to open up the London office which he ran for 10 years. In 2021 Guy joined the NSCG search practice and focuses on working with clients to help recruit and build senior leadership teams and functional leaders within Real Estate, Property and Construction.

Jody Goldsworthy

Jody Goldsworthy Partner, New Street Consulting Group

Jody is a Partner at New Street Consulting Group and leads its Leadership Consulting division. Her industry background features HR roles across government, telecommunications (BskyB, Vodafone, EE) and financial services. She moved to management consultancy in 2003. Before New Street, she held Board level roles leading commercial consulting teams at GatenbySanderson, SHL and Hay Group Korn Ferry. She is deeply expert in delivering development, assessment, coaching, talent and succession projects for Boards, top teams and senior leaders. An advocate for diversity, much of her work focuses on supporting organisations to build inclusive talent strategies and cultures. She holds an Economics Degree from Sydney University, ICF coaching qualifications, Prince II certification and is registered with the British Psychological Society for psychometric test use.

Jo Banfield

Jo Banfield, Human Resources Director, Grosvenor

Jo is accountable for shaping and delivering the people and culture strategy for Grosvenor Properties UK and sits on the Executive Committee. Prior to joining Grosvenor in 2017, Jo worked at DST Systems where she worked for eight years, first as UK HR Director and finally as Vice President HR, DST International. Previous to this, Jo gained experience across a variety of sectors, beginning her career as a graduate at Marks & Spencer and then going on to work for Ford, Centrica, AOL UK and DST International. 

Sarah Draper

Sarah Draper, Partner - Head of People and Culture, Rider Levett Bucknall

Sarah is Head of People & Culture at Rider Levett Bucknall heading up the firm’s people strategy and the delivery of its best in class approach to people and culture in the UK and Europe. With over 20 years of experience gained in senior HR roles across corporate and professional services, Sarah has extensive expertise leading successful people, diversity and inclusion and cultural change programmes in the built environment. Most recently she was HR Director at Gerald Eve LLP. Sarah is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

There will be an audience Q&A and also the chance to meet our speakers and make connections with fellow attendees during networking drinks at the end of the event.
