We are pleased to invite Real Estate Balance members to this upcoming event to celebrate the contributions of Black professionals to UK real estate and its associated sectors. It will also be the third Real Estate Balance event to mark Black History Month.
In collaboration with our event host, Sodexo, the session will tie in with this year’s theme of ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ through understanding Black heritage and promoting how Black professionals are shaping our built environment for the better, while also exploring underrepresentation, particularly at senior levels, and other EDI issues
We will also be looking at allyship in the context of this year’s theme and how we can all educate ourselves on the historical and cultural contexts in our society leading to racism and socioeconomic disparities and how we can work together to amplify Black voices and support our colleagues in professional spaces.
Our speakers will also convey how intersectionality impacts the experience of Black professionals in our industry, discuss the importance of inclusion and representation in the design and development of real estate, in property’s public sphere and policymaking.
