We are excited to announce that we have a few places available for new people to join the Real Estate Balance NextGen Committee.
The Committee meet every month, either in-person or online. Some of the sessions are for the full group and some are now working group meetings for their new three areas of focus:
- Pillar 1 – Opening up the industry and tackling barriers to entry
- Pillar 2 – Equipping diverse talent to progress and succeed
- Pillar 3 – Creating inclusive cultures and tackling inappropriate behaviours
NextGen are also involved in REB in lots of other ways, including hosting events, attending meetings of our Board and Policy and Campaigns Committee (PCC), working closely with our small executive team, speaking at MIPIM and UKREiiF and more.

We are also looking for a new NextGen representative on our PCC.
In order to be eligible to join the NextGen Committee or be the NextGen representative on the PCC, you must be:
- Under 35-years-old or in the first 10 years of your career in UK real estate or its associated sectors.
- Willing to commit time and energy to the Committee and attend REB events.
- Be able to lead on at least one initiative per year with the support of your fellow Committee members and our executive team.
- Employed by a member organisation of REB and have their support in you being part of the Committee.
Please express your interest by emailing christopher.gill@realestatebalance.org with a brief statement explaining why would like to be part of the Committee, how you think you can contribute and the pillar you are most interested in along with your CV by Friday 14th February.
Please also let us know if you are only interested in joining the NextGen Committee or only interested in being the NextGen representative on the PCC or vice versa.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to discuss the positions on Teams calls with Emma, Jasmine and Kevin on Monday 3rd March.
