Real Estate Balance to support PERE Europe Forum on EDI

News / 01.03.2023

Real Estate Balance is delighted to be an official Supporting Association of the PERE Europe Forum 2023.

Taking place in London from 9-11 May, the Forum is one of the most significant events in the European real estate calendar – offering participants the chance to discover new opportunities, connect with influential investors, developers and asset managers, and understand the current trends and challenges across Europe’s leading property markets.

Although Real Estate Balance has attended the Forum many times previously, this year we’re pleased to be an official supporting partner – meaning we’ll have a higher profile and even greater visibility promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) amongst the real estate leaders shaping the future of the industry.

There’s a whole day dedicated to ESG and sustainability, during which our Managing Director Sue Brown will join a panel discussion on raising the profile of EDI within real estate. The discussion will include:

  • structuring company policies to ensure EDI goals are met
  • how improved diversity in gender and ethnicity impacts investment decisions
  • the importance of changing the work culture in enabling firms to recruit and retain top talent

Sue said: “We know that UK real estate firms are making significant progress on EDI, so I’m looking forward to sharing some of the fantastic work our members are doing with a wider European audience. I’m also pleased to be discussing the results from our 2022 EDI industry survey, as well as our guide to collecting EDI data, which is an invaluable resource for investors and property companies alike.”

We’d like to encourage as many of you to attend the Forum as possible and make the most of the industry-leading discussions and excellent networking opportunities, so if you haven’t already done so, you can book your ticket here.

We look forward to seeing some of you in London this May!
