Tiny acorn to mighty oak: Real Estate Balance committee social evening

17.1.2019

Real Estate Balance held a committee social evening kindly hosted by JLL in the Garden Zone at their offices in the west end on Thursday 17th January.

The event was held as a mark of sincere appreciation for the commitment committee members of Real Estate Balance have shown. The Management Committee wanted to thank them for the fantastic support they have given and give everyone a chance to meet the members from other committees, Real Estate Balance’s new Managing Director, Kaela, and the invaluable admin and events support, Jo and Emma.

At the event, Real Estate Balance Chair, Vivienne King, shared with committee members how their work is contributing to the success of Real Estate Balance as the leading change agent in improving the gender balance at senior levels in the industry, including plans for 2019 and beyond. Vivienne talked about how the fledgling idea of seven industry women has grown from ‘tiny acorn to mighty oak’. How their desire to create something different, something that would have traction amongst men and women, had been realised through bringing on board the industrious, energetic people that make up the Real Estate Balance Committees.

Following on, the three Committee Chairs talked through the highlight achievements of their Committees from the last two years.
