Real Estate Balance is hosting a panel discussion to explore how we can build safer, more respectful workplaces across the real estate sector — where everyone understands what’s expected, feels physically safe, and has the confidence to speak up when something isn’t right.
We’ll hear a range of perspectives, including legal, HR and lived experience, on how to recognise inappropriate or gendered behaviours and how to respond in a way that supports both individuals and workplace culture more broadly.
We’ll also look at how organisations can put the right policies in place — from clearly communicated behavioural standards to practical measures that support physical safety, like taxi reimbursements and lone working guidance.
What we’ll cover:
- What is and isn’t appropriate in a professional setting
- How to report concerns — and feel confident doing so
- What support should look like from HR and leadership
- Making physical safety a priority (e.g. getting home safely after work)
- Creating a workplace culture where people feel safe, heard and respected
The panel, with more to be announced, includes:
- Stani Hristova, Head of HR, Delancy
- Lynda Rawsthorne, Director, Property Capability & Strategy, Government Head of Property Profession
- Nicola Ihnatowicz, Partner, Trowers and Hamlins
This session is open to all REB members — whether you're in HR, in a leadership role, just starting out, or simply want to be part of the conversation.
