The next event in our Speed Mentoring programme will take place on Wednesday 29 May kindly hosted by Ashurst

Our speed mentoring programme is an innovative ongoing series of events connecting senior real estate professionals with emerging talent. They offer real estate professionals at an earlier stage in their career the opportunity to meet senior industry leaders for quick fire conversations around their career aspirations and development, helping them discover new skills, knowledge and gain valuable industry insights.

The transition from school or university to the workplace can be a baffling experience – making decisions and navigating the ins and outs of a new industry are challenges that even very supportive family members or peer networks are not always qualified to help with. Mentoring helps real estate professionals starting out in the industry, particularly those from underrepresented groups, gain independent careers advice from senior leaders and insiders, while nurturing a diverse talent pipeline and creating a more inclusive industry for tomorrow.

Registration will be from 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Formal proceedings will finish around 7.30pm and will be followed by networking drinks.

During the course of the evening, mentees will have two 30 minute one-on-one conversations and seek career advice from senior mentors from the real estate industry. Our goal is for mentees to gain insights from the career experiences of the mentors and to assist them in building their networks and managing their own careers.

Resources covering various aspects of mentoring can be found on our Toolkit under Mentoring Matters.

Application process for mentees

We are now seeking mentors and mentees from our member organisations. If you or your colleagues would like to be considered, use the relevant button above to request a place by Friday 10 May 2024. We ask mentees to provide a short bio and a statement about why they wish to be considered, which we make available to mentors once we have organised the mentoring pairings.

Places are on a first come, first served basis, limited to four mentees and four mentors from each organisation in order that we can ensure mentees are not placed with mentors from their own organisation.
